My Career Journey
2019-2020
- Taught a 10-week program to high school students based around Python and AI, providing food and technology.
- Went on to dig through 100 contact names to collaborate with other AI-interested students within my area to host a free natural language processing workshop around the Fresno downtown area for underresourced students
2021
- Completed a 6-week survey course focused on introducing the professional culture of global business and topics, skills, and issues that are defining the future of work
- Collaborated with 7 other interns to present and create a slideshow to pitch impactful ideas to over 40 other co-interns, several Accenture employees, and non-profit guests
2022
- Selected as one of 100 students for the Summer Production Engineering Fellowship hosted by MLH and Meta
- Developed a full-stack web portfolio using Python Flask, HTML/CSS/JS with a Postgres SQL database(MariaDB), containerized with Docker, and deployed on DigitalOcean
- Maintained logging and monitoring systems through Grafana, Prometheus, Alertmanager, and Cadvisor
- Explored continuous integration and development practices through Github Actions redeployment and unit testing.
- Perform outreach and contact building for over 100 mentors and mentees, building impactful connections for women seeking mentors in gaming, marketing, and countless other industries.
- Sifted through over scholarship applicants to choose finalists who meet and reflect 1000DreamsFund’s mission to fund and service underresourced women
- Collaborated with 50 other applicants to eliminate finalists and choose scholarship winners for the program
2023
- Continuously developed and built Fresno State’s university housing site using HTML/CSS/JS, PHP and managed through WordPress content management systems.
- Developed wireframes and interactive prototypes in Figma, presenting UI solutions to supervisors.
- Improved site performance on mobile by 39% and 24% on desktop, optimizing for better usability and engagement.
- Providing 1-1 teaching sessions with 4-5 K-12 students per week covering a wide range of topics, including introductory Python, object-oriented ptogramming concepts, and game development practices using Pygame.
- Developed and delivered a comprehensive curriculum on OOP for 5th-12th grade students.
- Relocated to the Mountain View area, designing and teaching a 1-week in-person summer curriculum on LEGO Robotics
- Spearheading the Pygame Division Newsletter by crafting and sending out custom bi-weekly newsletters to parents
- Organizing and hosting a local Stratford workshop to introduce Scratch programming to underserved elementary students.
2024
- Be one of the top four presenters selected to present to Mobalytics Founder, Amine
- Choose a game genre and conduct a deep dive analysis into topics like game mechanisms, KPIs, revenue models, and player psychology
- Summarize research to create and perform a compelling presentation that highlights the key takeaways and makes recommendations to Mobalytics on market expansion opportunities.
- Edited and proofread content to ensure grammatical accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand voice and guidelines.
- Developed SEO-optimized content for career-related blogs articles and sections.
